Dr. Lawrence Hung
After moving to Toronto from his hometown of Edmonton, Dr. Lawrence Hung obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto in 2013. He is passionate about providing personalized, comprehensive dental care for his patients in private practice. His areas of interest include sedation, oral surgery and implantology.
Committed to enhancing patient care and developing his clinical knowledge, Dr.Hung strives to distinguish himself through staying active in organized dentistry. From 2013 to 2014, he completed a mini-residency at the University of Toronto Graduate Periodontics Clinic to perfect his technique for implant restoration. In 2017, he was awarded a Fellowship with the International Congress of Implant Dentistry, and in 2018, he became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also licensed to provide moderate sedation dentistry.
Dr.Hung has traveled to Guatemala and the Dominican Republic to provide dental services to patients in need and hopes to continue providing his services to underprivileged populations. He lives with his wife, Dr. Hedy Norsen, and their two cockatiels, Jub Jub and Luna. In his free time, he enjoys yoga and snowboarding with his reluctant wife.
Dr. Hedy Norsen
Dr. Hedy Norsen enjoys working with patients of all ages. After graduating from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 2013 with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery, she devoted herself to learning and perfecting smile makeovers, including adult orthodontics and detection and correction of early bone malformations in children. She has completed courses and mini-residencies under leaders in the field of orthodontics, including at the Faculté of Orthodontic Research, and is an experienced Invisalign provider. She is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and has trained with plastic surgeons to perfect her technique for cosmetics fillers and therapeutic botox therapy for TMJ pain and tension headaches.
Dr. Norsen also greatly enjoys working with children and is always gentle and accommodating for patients with anxiety and phobias. When she is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys writing and composing music. Her first children’s novel, Orchidus Academy, was published in February 2014, and she finished her Ontario-wide book tour at Chapters Indigo the summer of the same year. She has a plethora of adopted animals at home, including two cockatiels, two budgies, and a stray cat named Kiki.
Dr. Stephanie Harper
Dr. Harper began her post-graduate studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga studying physiology and chemistry, obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Science. She continued her studies at U of T graduating as a Doctor of Dental Surgery and has been practicing for the past several years in the GTA. She offers dental treatment to patients of all ages and is a certified provider of nitrous oxide sedation. She always aims to provide a comfortable experience, especially for dentally-anxious patients and younger patients who may be new to dentistry. She is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Harper is also an avid reader and traveler in her free time.
Dr. Gavin Ip
(Dental Anaesthesiologist)
Dr. Ip earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Honours at the University of Toronto. While there, he received the Horace Wells Medal in his class for outstanding achievement in anesthesia. He then pursued his three-year residency and his Master’s degree in Dental Anesthesia at the University of Toronto. He now works as a part time clinical instructor at the Surgeri Center at the University of Toronto.When he’s not practicing, Dr. Gavin Ip enjoys spending time with his wife, Inez, and their daughter, Anastasia, as well as their two poodles, Mochi. He also enjoys archery, target shooting, and is a big fan of superheroes and animated movies.
Luisa
(Dental Administrator)
Luisa graduated from Ryerson University’s Business Management program. She went on to open her own children’s clothing and shoe business for over a decade, before going back to school to earn her Dental Practice Management certificate from the University of Toronto. She has worked in the dental field for the past 20 years. Luisa always has a smile on her face and wants to make everyone that comes in the office feel like family.
In her spare time Luisa loves to travel, cook and bake, and go for hikes with her coonhound Luna. She’s also fluent in Italian.
Daiana
(Dental Administrator)
Daiana comes to us with thirty years of dental experience. She graduated dental assisting from Seneca College and after years of working as an assistant and administrator, she went on to study Treatment Coordination at George Brown College. She loves to help her patients work out their insurance and financial questions to help fit their smile improvements into their budget.
When she’s not with her work family, she enjoys family movie nights with her husband and daughters, as well as walking her dogs Sonny and Chase.
Jessica

Jessica graduated from the Medical Office Assistant program at triOS College in 2018 and went on to work in the dental field. Jessica aims to help patients navigate their appointments and treatment plans with ease. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at home with her loved ones, trying new recipes, making home-made bath bombs and is actively learning to speak Portuguese. Jessica loves all things Disney and hopes to visit Disney World one day.
Arian (Dental Assistant and Infection Control Officer)
Arian has been a dental assistant since graduating from George Brown College in 2017. She strives to make patients feel comfortable and at home when receiving dental treatment. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new foods.
Susan
(Dental Assistant)
Susan is a proud, dedicated mother of two and takes pride in her career. She graduated with honours in the Intraoral Level II Program at Everest College and has eight years of dental experience. When she’s not working, she enjoys camping, swimming , fishing, jogging, hanging out with friends and watching comedies. She always looks forward to building new relationships and sharing many smiles with all the patients at Smiles on Queen Dentistry!
Falguni (Dental Assistant)
Falguni graduated with her assisting degree from Medix College in 2010. Since then, she has been brightening both her coworkers’ and her patient’s days with her positive attitude and outgoing personality. She loves her family, is a proud mom of her son Jay, and loves reading and traveling in her free time.
Melissa (Dental Hygienist)
Melissa has been in the dental field for over 15 years, with a background in dental assisting. Melissa enjoys educating her patients and helping them achieve the smile they want. She enjoys building a relationship with her patients while helping them reach their dental health goals. Her cheerful smile and calm energy will greet you when you enter our office, making all our patients feel right at home. Melissa is also experienced in pediatric dentistry and enjoys making children’s visits to the dentist a positive and memorable experience. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Julie Ann (Dental Hygienist)
Julie Ann graduated with Honours from the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries, and she enjoys working with patients of all ages. She strives to combine thoroughness and gentleness in all her cleanings, to provide excellent patient care while putting those with dental anxiety at ease with her calm demeanor. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and you can usually find her at Toys R Us or an indoor playground with her daughter.
Marina (Dental Hygienist)
Marina was born and raised in Serbia, and she’s fluent in Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian in addition to English.
She graduated from CADH School of Hygiene in Mississauga after having worked as a Dental Assistant for 10 years. Her meticulous technique, calm and gentle demeanor, and her warm personality puts her patients at complete ease under her care. She is an active member of the CDHO, ODHA and is a self-initiated Dental Hygienist. She likes to spend her free time with her family, drawing, gardening, and traveling.
Michelle (Dental Hygienist)
Michelle joined our team first as a Dental Assistant 4 years ago, prior to completing her degree in Dental Hygiene. She is thorough, gentle, dedicated to putting anxious patients at ease, and is a great listener. She is passionate about fitness and food and enjoys spending time with her family and her pitbull Bear.
Katie (Dental Hygienist)
After completing the General Arts & Science Diploma program at Algonquin College, Katie pursued Dental Hygiene at George Brown College, graduating with Honours. She is a longtime resident of Caledon and is excited to continue practising and raising her three kids in her hometown.
Zoe (Office Manager)
Zoe is our Office Manager at Smiles on Queen Dentistry. She worked as an Emergency Room Respiratory Therapist in the U.S. for many years before moving back to Canada in 2006 to pursue a slightly less stressful line of work. She completed her training in Dental Office Administration and Office Management at George Brown College, and has since devoted herself to streamlining your dental office visit by dealing with the paperwork and insurance side of treatment, so that you don’t have to! She is the perfect person to talk to when you have questions regarding your insurance coverage, payment plans, booking an appointment, and an initial explanation of all your dental services. In her free time, she enjoys nature walks and online shopping.
